We hope you are an artist. You can be a crazy extrovert or a silent introvert, as long as you are able to dazzle us with your brilliant ideas. Upon dazzling us you’d have to see your creativity through though. So you’d already be highly skilled in your craft and have many tools at your disposal. You’d take pride in being highly motivated, self- sufficient and independent. You’d have accumulated in your mind many cool and wondrous ideas waiting to be expressed, and we have just the key to open that treasure chest. With our professional experience and insights into consumers, we will help you to translate those ideas into reality, for your personal musing to be appreciated by many. As an artist, you have boundless curiosity, always wanting to learn and explore the unfamiliar and strange. And you’d have to be brave too, for we will lead you to explore worlds you’ve never known, push you outside of your comfort zone to find qualities you never knew you had. Be warned or stay square!

However, you are also an amateur scientist. You don't have to know programming to design interactivity features in HTML 5. Your rational mind will help you to organize and make sense of your wild unfettered ideas, play devil’s advocate if you become too self-absorbed. It is a mirror to know if others see them in the same light you do. Together, we will embark on projects spanning different industry and typology. You will need to use your left-brain to investigate, discern and analyse these disparate design needs. At the end of the day, this is what keep us from being lost in the ocean of infinite creative possibilities.

你的美感,你对世界的欣赏,将会显而易见地从你的作品中流露出来。虽然或许品牌平面设计是你的杀手锏,但你一定明白电脑前的二维设计只是一个开始,不管网站设计、交互设计、视频甚至空间设计都可能是你能够跨出去地领域。如果你能够展现你在其他媒界的尝试,你将更容易在这里脱颖而出。

Your sense of aesthetics, your appreciation of the world, is readily apparent in your works. Even though branding and graphic design is your forte, you know that computer 2D design is just a start, it is a door into UI design, website design, film, even spatial design. If you can demonstrate your ventures into fields other than graphic, you will find it easier to stand out.

你明确的知道商业设计是要首先满足受众,再是客户,才能满足自己。不同受众需要我们用不同的视觉语言和他们沟通。我们的项目行业属性很宽,从奢侈品、IT、房地产、手机、餐饮甚至公益组织,每种行业类别都有自己的视觉语言以及基调差异。可是你不畏惧,因为你知道世界是多元的,你不会让你的年龄、性别、生活圈局限你对世界的了解,反而你经常带着好奇的眼光放眼世界,观察不同行业属性在视觉上的表现,细细地品味这一切。

You understand that commercial design is about satisfying the end user first and foremost, then the client and you the designer last. And different end users require us to communicate with them differently. From luxury products, IT, real estate, mobile phones, F&B, even NGO and charities, each industry has got its own tone & manner, visual metaphors, and we cover a great swathe of them. But you do not see this as a great challenge, because you know the world to be exciting eactly because it is diverse. You will not allow your age, gender or social circle to limit your understanding of the world. On the contrary you apply your natural curiosity to observe how different industries communicate visually, going out to experience what all these diversity has to offer.

What we can offer you is a chance to create. You will be able to create across all genre and medium, creating ultimately a narrative about who you are, who we are, and what design stands for in this day and age. You will truly be seen as a designer, and not part of a production line. We will respect your creativity, but also with our experience help you see your creativity to fruition, the fruits of which is satisfying to you, us, clients and end users alike. Like you we will not waste time on pointless work. You are looking to work in a company that understand that brand expression and experiences transcend the logo, business card, web site, packaging design. You are also looking for the opportunity to craft visually the different ways brands connect with consumers. Ultimately corporate communication is a dialogue, not a one-way street.

You will be working with an international team who come from diverse backgrounds and fields. Even though we come from different places, different cultural backgrounds, educated in different professions, we share a single-minded passion about design. By the way, you will need to be effectively bilingual in English and Chinese. This will allow you to communicate freely in our company.

We treat each applicant seriously, conversely we hope you will do the same. Have a look at our website, understand what we do, the nature of our projects, and our design methods. If you feel we make a good fit, please send us your CV + Portfolio. We need to discern from these materials not just who you are, what you can do, but more importantly your attitude towards design, your soul. If you don’t find it too much of a trouble, you can attach a cover letter expressing in words what pictures cannot.

一般你已有2年以上的工作经验。 你精通Illustrator、Photoshop、InDesign等设计软件,你也应该在学其他软件,不管是视频,3D, UI 类的。之前工作经验反正看你的作品就知道,通常会是品牌、广告、展览展示类 。

In general you would have about 2 years of working experience. You’d be proficient in Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign etc, and also be dabbling in other software, whether 3D, video, flash, UI or web. We are not too bothered by your prior work experience, but typically you’d be from the field of branding, advertising or events.
